Cavus foot

The cardinal feature of cavus foot is the high arc. This deformity is noticed in adolescence but complaints in terms of plantar corns and mallet or curly toes begin in adult life.

Orthotics like soft soles in the shoes may somehow alleviate the symptoms. If that fails, surgery including well designed osteotomies along with tendon transfers may offer considerable improvement in posture and walking.

Anesthesia is regional and/or light general, and patients are discharged the first postoperative day.
